Hickory Farms Home For the Holidays Giveaway
Posted on | December 16, 2012 | 24 Comments
I’ve been talking a lot about traditions this holiday season, upholding old traditions and creating new ones with our growing family. A big part of many our family’s celebrations and traditions revolve around food, where we eat, who we eat with, and what is served. I can always guarantee that my mom will make pizzelle cookies sometime during December and my Nana will have rice pudding on the dessert at her annual Christmas party. With families spread far and wide, this time of year can make it difficult to maintain traditions but it’s a great opportunity to start a new tradition and send a tasty treat to a friend or family member far from home during the holidays.
Hickory Farms provided me with the opportunity to taste test their “Home For the Holidays” gift box. I was super excited to receive the gift box in the mail and it did not disappoint. We sampled a few pieces of cheese, sausage, and crackers when it came in the mail but really broke it out for the Army/Navy football game.

The “Home For the Holidays” gift box includes the Signature Summer Sausage, Spicy Savory Beef Summer Sausage, 2 Turkey Summer Sausages, Mission Jack Blend Cheese, Smoked Cheddar Blend Cheese, Jalapeno Cheddar Blend Cheese, Farmhouse Cheddar Cheese (my favorite), Creamy Swiss Blend Cheese, Three Cheese & Onion, Parmesan Herb Blend Cheese, Olive Oil & Rosemary Crackers, Golden Toasted Crackers, Honey & Pineapple Mustard and Sweet Hot Mustard (also my favorite). That’s a lot of deliciousness in one gift box!

And Hickory Farms wants to say a small “thank you” to military members and will ship selected products to APO/FPO addresses for free, just look for the “free military shipping” logo on their website.
Hickory Farms also is offering one lucky reader their very own “Home For the Holidays” gift box. Enter below through the Rafflecopter entry form.
Giveaway runs from Sunday, December 16, 2012 10:00 p.m. until Friday, December 21, 2012 11:59 p.m. Giveaway is open to U.S. residents only. Hickory Farms provided me one “Home For the Holidays” gift box at no cost to me in exchange for a review and giveaway opportunity. All opinions are 100% my own. (I really do love the Farmhouse Cheddar and Sweet & Hot Mustard the most.)

My favorite is decorating cookies with my mom. I am insane and will sit there with a toothpick and individually place Jimmy’s and sprinkles on the cookies.

Favorite Christmas tradition? Christmas Eve, dressed up in comfy PJs, blasting Christmas carols on the car radio, sipping hot chocolate and eating butter cookies as we drive around looking at all the wonderful Christmas lights in various neighborhoods.

Our favorite holiday traditions are that we don’t really do holiday traditions
. My mom and I are Jewish and my dad is not, each year we open a box of presents that my aunt (his sister) sends us and we usually have a big lunch at home, with turkey or ham. Then we usually go out to see a movie.
But sometimes we do other things too. We also do “appetizers” like egg rolls, potato pancakes, pizza bites, etc.
